Art Branches reaches finals of the RSPH Community Health Development Award

Art Branches' achievements were recognised by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), which selected it as a shortlisted finalist in the 2024 Community Health Development Award category.

The RSPH's Health & Wellbeing Awards are the UK's premier awards scheme for promoting health and wellbeing. The Awards recognise and celebrate a wide range of activities, policies and strategies that empower communities and individuals, improve the population’s health and address the wider social determinants of health.

Art Branches was chosen for its community project, Chronicles of Greyfriars – a stimulating and educational initiative centred on the 13th-century Greyfriars Friary and Leper Chapel at St. James Church, Dunwich. As with many of Art Branches' activities, the project engages participants with a unique combination of heritage, creativity, environmental discovery and education. It's a proven formula in Art Branches' work to improve health and wellbeing.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund kindly provided project funding and was operated in partnership with the Dunwich Greyfriars Trust and Dunwich Museum.
