In recent years, Suffolk Community Foundation (SCF) has facilitated funding for a number of Art Branches projects. At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, for example, Art Branches' agile and responsive nature was able to provide rapid responses to rises in mental health problems thanks to community support funding from SCF.
Funding from SCF allowed one of their graduate intern artists, Ryan, to run his first project, ‘Expressing Trees’. His project had three phases: sending resource packs to eighty people, providing online support over three months and finally running four outdoor workshops. Adults recovering from mental health issues helped create the resources, making them more accessible and relevant to the intended recipients.
